The aim of the MST-EI is to make a meaningful contribution to intervening in poverty by supporting organisations to develop and implement specially designed measures to support the labour market integration of specific vulnerable groups. The initiative will also seek to develop a generic model of inclusive labour market serivce delivery capable of being adapted for the benefit of other groups and localities.
The emerge project at the Ballymun Job Centre will offer two Innovative and Supportive Programmes to meet local employer needs.
1. PREPARATION FOR EMPLOYMENT
- Part time pre-employment programmes that will be geared towards a particular industry's needs by working closely with employers.
- Each programme will focus on communications, confidence buidling, team building, intense personal development and work sampling.
- Any specific required training to meet employment criteria will be included.
2. CAREER DEVELOPMENT IN THE WORKPLACE
- A free career guidance process in the workplace to enable individual employees to recognise their existing skills and interests and to utilise these to benefit their career progression.
- We aim to improve career management skills including the ability to access training and education supports, upskill in the workplace, identify career development opportunities and practically apply a career plan.
- This will empower the indvidual to progress in their career development, raise aspirations, develop a strong work ethic and increase potential.

WHAT YOUR ROLE WOULD BE:
- To assist with the design of a Preparation for Employment programme so that we can specifically match your industry's needs.
- To offer a work sampling option to participants so that their progress can be observed over a period of time.
- To identify employees who would most benefit from Career Development in the workplace.
