2010 - 2012: eGuide+, Leonardo da Vinci, Transfer of Innovation, Co-ordinated by Kasis, Slovenis and INEK, Cyprus

"Quality career guidance for disadvantaged and migrant job seekers"

eGuide+ is a Transfer of Innovation project (ToI), focused on providing structured career guidance for disadvantaged and migrant job seekers. The proposed project draws on innovative results of an earlier project, EGUIDE (2005-2007), which developed a quality assurance framework for career guidance for disadvantaged job seekers and a set of related assessments tools. The eGuide+ project therefore has the objective of:

  1. Introducing innovative EGUIDE results to career guidance systems in Cyprus, Greece and Slovenia
  2. Mainstreaming the use of framework and tools
  3. Making resources available to an audience across the Europe.

2009 – 2011: TALK IT LEONARDO DA VINCI, TRANSFER OF INNOVATION: COORDINATED BY GEMS NORTHERN IRELAND

The Talk-IT project aims to transfer the innovation of a workplace VET programme designed by GEMS NI to support IT professionals working for a major IT Company (All State Northern Ireland) who were non-native speakers of English, to improve their competence in using Business English language in written and spoken communication with customers, colleagues and in their contribution to corporate knowledge thus enhancing individual and organisational performance.

2009 – 2011: SEI.LI.NG (SEIZE LIFE THROUGH GAMING) LEONARDO DA VINCI, TRANSFER OF INNOVATION: COORDINATED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS

The aim of the Sei.Li.NG Project is to create a portal area, consisting of a user-friendly system with a simple, highly interactive and functional infrastructure dedicated to less qualified workers, informing them about employment issues, possible career paths and educational training through simulation games. The users will also be able to find out news about other European citizens being in the same position as they are and exchange ideas and experiences. The concept of Sei.Li.NG is that interactive training content can improve learning. Sei.Li.NG allows for the development of new services, new products, and new communication tools. It will also create an Educational Environment for less qualified workers and a specific electronic information learning environment.

2008 – 2010: JOIN IN A JOB LEONARDO DA VINCI, TRANSFER OF INNOVATION: COORDINATED BY HAFELEKAR INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA

JoinajobpicThe Project aims to transfer and adapt intercultural assessment and guidance instruments in order to facilitate new and qualified qualifications for migrants in Europe. 2007 – 2009: ABATA LEONARDO DA VINCI, TRANSFER OF INNOVATION: COORDINATED BY KADIS, SLOVENIA

The purpose of the Project was to help companies obtain economic and professional assessment of potential employees and provide tailor-made training based on the outcomes of these assessments. The aim is to increase competitiveness and effectiveness of companies, especially small and medium sized companies. ABATA developed a package of measures for assessing the competences of employees on one side and the training of missing competences of employees on the other side. Assessment are available via the web in e-form. Training modules are offered in a combination of both e-learning and classical methods (for example workshops).

2007 – 2009: LLFW (LEARNING LANGUAGE FOR WORK) LEONARDO DA VINCI, TRANSFER OF INNOVATION: COORDINATED BY GEMS, NORTHERN IRELAND

LLFW aimed to address barriers to employment/employability experienced by migrant workers and other minority ethnic groups who require support to learn the language skills for employment. Free movement of labour within the European Union has resulted in both the UK and partner countries needing to respond in the VET (vocational education and training) context to the employability needs of migrant workers and other minority ethnic groups who experience labour market disadvantage particularly but not exclusively in relation to the language barrier. Through a partnership of European countries, LLFW enhanced the quality of the VET process through the development and provision of a standardised quality assured learning language for work programme in each partner country’s mother tongue designed to support the learning and employability needs of migrant workers and other minority ethnic groups thus improving the skills of the workforce in each.
