The BJC has a strong belief in the need to remain innovative and to try new ideas to address identified issues arising from the experience of clients. The BJC aims to identify and bridge gaps in services and labour market supports for disadvantaged job seekers. Over the years the BJC has made applications to EU funds in order to access the financial resources to test new ideas and ways of working. The EU work is developed in partnership with organisations in other European Countries.

In seeking to overcome barriers to employment people tend to experience considerable and multiple difficulties in relation to accesing education, training and employment opportunities. Associated with this the BJC recognise the need to identify and develop an inter-organisational response to the situation in which the respective resources, capacities and expertise of a number of organisations could be harnessed.
