SKILLS DEVELOPMENT COURSE GRADUATION
Ballymun Job Centre staff and representatives from City of Dublin VEC gathered to celebrate the achievement of eight participants who graduated from the Skills Development course.
The course, which was part funded through Back to Education Initiative and the MST-EI E-merge Project provided Communications, Information Technology, Mathematics, and Personnel Effectiveness skills to participants.
INNOVATIVE TRAINING 2010
In 2010, 259 clients started programmes directly organised by the BJC. The training programmes were developed in partnership with a range of organisations including: Department of Social Protection, FAS, CDVEC, Ballymun Whitehall Area Partnership, Young Persons Probation, Youthreach, BRYR, BLDTF, BEST, CTC Youth Garda Diversion Project. JOBS INITIATIVE PROGRAMME
The FÁS funded Job Initiative is a programme providing full-time employment for people who are 35 years of age or over unemployed for five years or more, and in receipt of social welfare. The purpose of the programme is to assist long-term unemployed people to prepare for work opportunities through work experience, training and development opportunities.
